Preparation
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5-6 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Making the Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth while stirring. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coat it with the creamy sauce, and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Serve the Marry Me Chicken hot, garnished with fresh basil for an aromatic touch!
Notes
To ensure perfect chicken, use a meat thermometer (165°F is ideal). Optional: personalize the sauce with favorite herbs or a splash of lemon juice. Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3 days or frozen for 3 months.
