Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop heaping amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look soft.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
