Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop heaping amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Consider drizzling with extra maple syrup or sprinkling with chopped nuts for added texture. For a fun twist, add chocolate chips or dried cranberries.
