Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 3 pieces ripe mangoes, peeled and diced Ensure they are ripe for maximum sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Used to sweeten the mangoes.
For the topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Must be melted but not hot.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and dice the mangoes into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, toss the diced mangoes with granulated sugar.
Assembly
  1. In another bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Add melted unsalted butter into the mixture and combine.
  3. Spread the sweetened mangoes evenly across the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble topping generously over the mangoes.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream.

Notes

For substitutions, try peaches or berries if mangoes are unavailable. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
