Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil and sauté the chopped onions for about 2-3 minutes until they are tender and translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Once the beef is cooked, stir in the yellow mustard and sweet pickle relish. Mix everything thoroughly and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, lightly toast the hamburger buns in a separate pan or in the oven.
  5. Spoon the meat mixture generously onto each bun, adding extra pickle relish or mustard for added flavor if desired.
  6. Plate your sliders and enjoy them warm alongside your favorite sides.

Notes

Substitutions: Try ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option. Prepare ingredients ahead of time for smoother cooking. Avoid soggy sliders by not overloading them with the mixture or toppings. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
