Ingredients

Pudding Base
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz can
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix 3.4 oz package
  • 1 container whipped topping 12 oz container, like Cool Whip
Layers
  • 3-4 pieces ripe bananas sliced
  • 1 box vanilla wafers 11 oz box

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and cold water. Whisk together until well blended.
  2. Gradually sprinkle in the instant vanilla pudding mix, whisking continuously until the mixture begins to thicken, about 2 minutes.
  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping until smooth, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
Layering
  1. In a large rectangular dish, layer the vanilla wafers, followed by a layer of sliced bananas, then a layer of the pudding mixture.
  2. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the pudding on top.
Chilling
  1. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (or overnight for best results).
  2. When ready, serve and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, slice the bananas just before layering to avoid browning. Consider variations such as crushed pineapple or chocolate chips for added flavor.
