Preparation
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir in the flour, cooking for about 1 minute to form a roux.
- Gradually add the cream or milk, whisking continuously until thickened.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it's completely melted and creamy. Then, mix in the garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoning.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, lobster, crab, and shrimp. Pour the cheese sauce over this mixture and gently stir until well combined.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the pasta and seafood mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with a tablespoon of melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the macaroni and cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley or chives before serving!
Notes
Always use fresh seafood for the best flavor. Experiment with different cheese blends for added depth. Don't overbake to avoid drying out.
