Preparation
- Shape your ground beef into four equal-sized patties, about ¾ inch thick. Use your thumb to create a slight indent to help them cook evenly.
- Season both sides of your patties generously with salt and pepper (or your favorite grilling spices).
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a bit of oil in a pan on medium heat until shimmering.
Cooking
- Place the patties on the grill or in the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip.
- After flipping, place your cheese slices on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.
- Toast your burger buns lightly on the grill or in the pan until golden (optional).
Assembly
- Start with the bottom bun, add the lettuce, burger patty with melted cheese, sliced tomatoes, onions, and pickles. Drizzle with BBQ sauce, then cap it off with the top bun.
- Enjoy your Loaded Burgers immediately, ideally with some crispy fries or a fresh salad on the side!
Notes
For a Halal-friendly option, ensure your ground beef is certified Halal. You can also use ground chicken or turkey for a leaner alternative. Let your burgers rest for a few minutes after cooking to redistribute the juices, making them juicier. Avoid pressing down on the patties while they cook to retain moisture.
