Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef (preferably 80/20 for juiciness)
  • 4 slices cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 large tomato (sliced)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced, optional)
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • leafy lettuce (for crunch)
  • Pickles (for an extra zing)
  • BBQ sauce (or your favorite condiments)

Method

Preparation
  1. Shape your ground beef into four equal-sized patties, about ¾ inch thick. Use your thumb to create a slight indent to help them cook evenly.
  2. Season both sides of your patties generously with salt and pepper (or your favorite grilling spices).
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a bit of oil in a pan on medium heat until shimmering.
Cooking
  1. Place the patties on the grill or in the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip.
  2. After flipping, place your cheese slices on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.
  3. Toast your burger buns lightly on the grill or in the pan until golden (optional).
Assembly
  1. Start with the bottom bun, add the lettuce, burger patty with melted cheese, sliced tomatoes, onions, and pickles. Drizzle with BBQ sauce, then cap it off with the top bun.
  2. Enjoy your Loaded Burgers immediately, ideally with some crispy fries or a fresh salad on the side!

Notes

For a Halal-friendly option, ensure your ground beef is certified Halal. You can also use ground chicken or turkey for a leaner alternative. Let your burgers rest for a few minutes after cooking to redistribute the juices, making them juicier. Avoid pressing down on the patties while they cook to retain moisture.
