Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
- Using a large cookie scoop or your hands, form dough balls (approximately the size of a golf ball) and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the tray for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Serving
- Enjoy the cookies warm or at room temperature!
Notes
For an even richer flavor, chill your dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerate or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in microwave for 10-15 seconds.
