- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat until creamy.
- Add the entire package of marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until fully melted.
- Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest until combined.
- Gradually fold in the Rice Krispies cereal using a spatula until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle in the salt and mix once more.
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the mixture into it, pressing down evenly.
- Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature, about 30 minutes.
- Once set, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days; refrigerate for up to a week. Lightly grease hands to prevent sticking while pressing into the pan.
