  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed) Freshly squeezed is best.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley Optional

Method

Cooking
  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until fully melted.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
  3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously, then add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  4. Once thickened, season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. For a decorative touch, sprinkle some chopped fresh parsley on top before serving.

Notes

To make a lighter option, replace heavy cream with half-and-half. For a vegan version, consider using coconut cream. Avoid boiling the sauce for the best creamy texture.
