Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix the ingredients gently; avoid overworking the meat.
- Take a handful of the mixture and form small patties that are slightly larger than the slider buns, as they will shrink during cooking.
Cooking
- Preheat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Once hot, add a little oil to the surface (if using a skillet) and place the patties on it.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes on the other side, until they reach a minimum internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- While the patties are cooking, you can toast the slider buns on the grill or in the oven for a crispy edge.
Assembly
- Once cooked, place the turkey patties on the bottom half of each slider bun, top with fresh lettuce, tomato, and your desired condiments, then crown with the top bun.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap individual sliders tightly in foil and freeze for up to 3 months. When ready to eat, thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat.
