Ingredients
  

For the dip
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Use full fat for best results.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled) Adjust according to desired spiciness.
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping) For added crunch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. Fold in the diced jalapenos, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer the dip mixture into a greased baking dish or a cast-iron skillet.
  5. If using, sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the dip.
Baking
  1. Place the dip in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  2. Allow the dip to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different cheese varieties or additional ingredients like diced tomatoes or corn. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
