Ingredients

Dough and Filling
  • 1 can crescent roll dough Use refrigerated dough.
  • 2-3 pieces fresh jalapenos, finely chopped Adjust jalapeno amount to preference.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar works best for flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Separate the dough into individual triangles as per the perforations.
  4. Take a tablespoon of the jalapeno filling and place it at the wide end of the triangle. Roll the dough towards the pointed end, enclosing the filling inside.
  5. Place each rolled crescent onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure to leave some space between each roll, as they will puff up while baking.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  7. Once out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For optimal flavor and texture, consume shortly after baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes.
