Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 large large flour tortillas
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure cream cheese is softened for easier spreading.
  • 1 cup jalapenos, diced (fresh or pickled) Adjust amount based on desired spiciness.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with pepper jack for extra spice.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Ensure your cream cheese is softened for easy spreading.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, diced jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until fully mixed and set aside.
  3. Place a tortilla on a clean, flat surface. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the tortilla, leaving about half an inch from the edges.
  4. Starting from one end, carefully roll the tortilla tightly away from you without squeezing too hard.
  5. Use a sharp knife to slice the rolled tortilla into bite-sized pinwheels, about an inch thick. Repeat for each tortilla.
  6. Arrange the pinwheels on a serving platter and serve.

Notes

For optimal flavor, let pinwheels chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for a month. For reheating, let thaw overnight in the refrigerator and serve at room temperature or gently warm in the microwave.
