Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 unit egg Used as a binding agent
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 jar marinara sauce For simmering the meatballs

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix until just combined.
  3. Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it into a ball, about the size of a golf ball. Place them on a lined baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Transfer the meatballs to a pot and cover them with marinara sauce. Let them simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
  3. Serve your Italian Meatballs over spaghetti, in a sub, or just as they are with a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a saucepan with a splash of marinara sauce to maintain moisture.
