Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chicken (Halal compliant) Use ground chicken instead of ground beef or pork for halal compliance.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Substitute for gluten-free options if necessary.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce For serving, warm up before tossing with meatballs.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Wet your hands to prevent sticking and scoop out even portions of the mixture. Roll them into 1-inch balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Place the meatballs in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
Serving
  1. In the last few minutes of cooking, warm up the marinara sauce in a saucepan. Once the meatballs are done, toss them gently in the sauce before serving.

Notes

Top Tips: Consider using ground turkey or plant-based alternatives for dietary needs. Prepare and freeze meatballs for convenient cooking. Avoid overmixing to maintain a tender texture.
