Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 8 slices deli meats (e.g., salami, turkey—make sure they are Halal)
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or any Halal cheese of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure the bake cooks evenly.
  2. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it. On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, carefully separate the dough into triangles.
  3. Place one slice of provolone cheese on each triangle of dough, then layer 1 slice of deli meat over the cheese, followed by a few slices of roasted red peppers.
  4. Drizzle a little olive oil over the layers and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Starting from the wider end of the triangle, roll the dough up towards the point, creating a crescent shape. Place each rolled piece on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to swap out deli meats for other Halal options such as chicken or beef salami. You can also experiment with different types of cheese. Keep an eye on the rolls towards the end of the baking time to avoid over-browning. Don't overstuff the rolls; they need room to expand while baking.
