Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, cooked ground chicken or turkey, chopped vegetables, and fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Gradually mix in the flour, using your hands to combine until the mixture holds together.
- Shape the mixture into small, bite-sized balls and roll each ball in bread crumbs if using, for that extra crunch!
- Place the bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Give each a quick spritz of cooking oil to help them crisp up.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Remove from the oven and let cool briefly. These bites are best served warm!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes to restore crunch.
