Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Filling
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark) Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Adjust sweetness as desired.
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional, try pecans or almonds) For extra crunch.
  • to taste sea salt For sprinkling on top.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by greasing a 9x9 inch baking pan or lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers and melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  3. Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the crust, spreading it out to cover every bit.
  4. Add the chocolate chips over the caramel layer, spreading them evenly. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
Baking
  1. Place the pan into a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is melted and slightly bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
  3. Once cool, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top, cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerate for up to two weeks. To reheat, microwave for 10 seconds until warm, without overheating.
