Preparation
- Begin by greasing a 9x9 inch baking pan or lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers and melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the crust, spreading it out to cover every bit.
- Add the chocolate chips over the caramel layer, spreading them evenly. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
Baking
- Place the pan into a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is melted and slightly bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
- Once cool, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top, cut into bars and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerate for up to two weeks. To reheat, microwave for 10 seconds until warm, without overheating.
