Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough gently on a floured surface for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
Roll and Fill
- Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread melted butter generously on top. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Shape the Rolls
- Starting from one edge, tightly roll the rectangle into a log.
- Cut the log into 1-inch slices and place them into a greased Instant Pot container, standing upright.
Cook
- Add 1 cup of water to the inner pot of the Instant Pot. Place the trivet inside and set the cinnamon rolls on top.
- Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Once done, perform a quick release.
Prepare the Icing
- In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with milk. Drizzle it over warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
