Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Mix well.
- Add the oil and gradually pour in water to form a soft and pliable dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
Cooking
- After resting, divide the dough into equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it.
- Using a rolling pin, roll it out into a flat disc, about ΒΌ-inch thick.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, place the rolled-out dough onto the pan.
- Cook for about 1-2 minutes on one side until small bubbles form, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the pan and brush with melted butter or ghee while still hot. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze separated with parchment paper. Reheat on a hot pan for best results.
