Method
Preparation
- Pat dry your chicken tenders with a paper towel to help the coating stick.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper to taste.
Breading Station
- Set up three shallow bowls: one for the flour mixed with garlic powder and paprika, another for beaten eggs, and the third for the breadcrumbs.
Coating the Tenders
- Dip each chicken tender into the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
- Next, dip into the beaten eggs, and finally, coat generously with breadcrumbs, pressing them on to ensure they stick.
Air Fryer Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Once preheated, place the coated tenders in the basket, ensuring they’re not overcrowded. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
Cooking the Tenders
- Cook the chicken tenders for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
Preparing the Glaze
- While the tenders are cooking, mix honey and hot sauce in a small bowl to create your hot honey glaze.
Serving
- Once the chicken tenders are done, drizzle them with the hot honey glaze. Serve immediately for maximum crispiness.
Notes
You can use gluten-free breadcrumbs or panko for a different texture. For leftovers, they can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for about 5-7 minutes.
