  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor.
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder Unsweetened.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Balances sweetness.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Semi-sweet or milk chocolate.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Adds gooey texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add this to the wet ingredients until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
Baking
  1. Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
  2. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
  3. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before scooping. Store in an airtight container with a slice of bread to maintain moisture.
