Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and honey until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the flour. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer batter to the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
- Once cooled, slice the loaf and serve as desired. Enjoy it plain or with a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
Store wrapped tightly in plastic wrap in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat at a low temperature.
