Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces Ensure the chicken is halal.
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds For garnish.
  • to taste none chopped green onions For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting your chicken into bite-sized pieces and setting it aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well to create a smooth sauce.
Cooking the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces in a single layer.
  2. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
Thickening the Sauce
  1. In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Pour in the honey-soy sauce mixture and stir to combine.
Combining
  1. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken. Stir well to coat each piece, and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your liking.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and add chopped green onions for that extra pop.
