Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Salmon
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • lime wedges (for serving)
  • Chopped fresh cilantro or parsley (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to prepare the marinade.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish, skin-side down (if the skin is still attached). Pour the honey-lime mixture over the salmon, ensuring it's evenly coated. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for a deeper flavor).
Cooking
  1. After marinating, transfer the baking dish into the preheated oven. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley, and serve with lime wedges for an extra zesty twist.

Notes

For protein substitutions, try using chicken breasts or shrimp with the same marinade. To maintain freshness, always choose quality salmon. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or microwave cautiously.
