  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds a strong flavor to the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Use tamari for a gluten-free version.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Used for cooking the tofu.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Helps achieve a crispy texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Drain the firm tofu and press it between layers of paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
Coating the Tofu
  1. Place the tofu cubes in a bowl and sprinkle with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss gently until the tofu is evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the tofu cubes and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Occasionally flip the tofu to ensure even browning.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce.
  2. Pour this mixture over the cooked tofu, gently stirring to coat all the cubes.
Final Touch
  1. Allow the tofu to simmer in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Plate your Honey Garlic Tofu and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For storing leftovers, keep in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Reheat in a skillet for best texture.
