Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (ensure it is Halal-friendly)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Mince the garlic and ginger, and chop the green onions to have everything ready for cooking.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat, swirling it around to coat the bottom of the pan evenly.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the ground chicken, breaking it apart using a spatula. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  4. When the chicken is fully cooked, add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet. Cook for another 2 minutes, until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the honey and soy sauce. Stir everything together, allowing the sauce to saturate the chicken. Let it simmer for approximately 5-10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
  7. Pair this dish with steamed rice or your favorite veggies for a wholesome meal!
