Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Chicken Thighs, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 oz Mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce, low-sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch For sauce thickness
  • Green Onions, for garnish
  • Sesame Seeds, optional for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and cornstarch until smooth.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces and sear for about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they begin to soften (around 2-3 minutes).
  3. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and mushrooms, stirring to coat.
  4. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through (at least 165°F internal temperature).
  5. Plate the Honey Garlic Chicken with Mushroom, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Make substitutions as needed, ensure chicken isn’t overcrowded in the pan to avoid steaming, and watch the sauce for thickness.
