- Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and cornstarch until smooth.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces and sear for about 4-5 minutes.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they begin to soften (around 2-3 minutes).
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and mushrooms, stirring to coat.
- Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through (at least 165°F internal temperature).
- Plate the Honey Garlic Chicken with Mushroom, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
