Preparation
- Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes, ensuring they are uniform for even cooking.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Place the chicken cubes in a resealable bag or bowl, pour the marinade over the chicken, and seal or cover. Let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours) for maximum flavor.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
Cooking
- Heat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with a little oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Once fully cooked, remove the skewers from the grill, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes or on a skillet for quick warming.
