Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste) Can be substituted with honey or agave for a healthier option.
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice For serving.
  • Lemon slices and strawberries for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by hulking the strawberries and slicing them into halves. This helps release their natural juices.
  2. Roll the lemons on the countertop to get the most juice out. Cut them in half and squeeze out the juice into a measuring cup, removing any seeds.
Mixing
  1. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, lemon juice, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Blend until smooth to create a luscious strawberry puree.
  2. If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve to remove the pulp (this is optional).
Serving
  1. In a large pitcher, mix the strawberry puree with the remaining 2 cups of water. Taste and adjust sugar if necessary.
  2. Add ice to the pitcher or serve immediately over ice in glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh strawberries for that beautiful presentation.

Notes

For the best flavor, let your lemonade chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in a sealed pitcher. If you have leftovers, consider freezing them in ice cube trays to use as colorful garnishes later.
