  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together softened butter and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract and combine well.
  4. Gradually add sifted flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough, roll into balls, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
