Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by boiling water in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt, then toss in your pasta. Cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add olive oil and heat over medium. Pour in the marinara sauce and stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta, half of the mozzarella, and half of the Parmesan. Mix until well incorporated.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Layer half of the cooked pasta over the sauce, followed by the cheese mixture. Pour the remaining pasta on top, and finish with the remaining marinara sauce and a sprinkle of the leftover mozzarella and Parmesan.
  2. Cover the dish with aluminum foil to trap in the steam and bake for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the top is bubbling and golden brown.
Serving
