Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups oats (rolled or quick) Use rolled or quick oats based on preference.
  • 1 cup nut butter (peanut butter or almond butter) Can substitute with sunflower seed butter for a nut-free option.
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup Use honey for a sweeter taste; maple syrup works as an alternative.
  • 1 cup nuts or seeds (chopped almonds, walnuts, or sunflower seeds) Choose your favorite nuts or seeds.
  • ½ cup dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, or apricots) Add variety by mixing different types of dried fruits.
  • 1 pinch salt A small pinch enhances the flavor.
Optional Add-ins
  • to taste chocolate chips or coconut flakes For extra flavor and customization.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper to make removal easier later on.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, nuts, and dried fruits. Stir them together to ensure even distribution.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, gently warm the nut butter and honey/maple syrup until smooth, stirring continuously.
  4. Pour the warm nut butter mixture over the dry ingredients and mix well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan, pressing it firmly down with a spatula or your hands.
  6. Chill the pan in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the bars to set.
  7. Once chilled and firm, lift the bars out of the pan and cut them into squares or rectangles.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Let sit for a few minutes before serving straight out of the fridge.
