Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed wafer cookies and Rice Krispies. Stir gently to ensure it’s mixed well.
- In a separate bowl, mix the peanut butter and heavy cream. Microwave for about 20 seconds to soften them, then mix until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture over the wafer and Rice Krispies combination. Mix until everything is well-coated.
Chocolating
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- In a baking dish lined with parchment paper, spread half of the melted chocolate to form the base layer. Then, add the wafer and Rice Krispies mixture on top, spreading it evenly.
- Pour the remaining melted chocolate over the top, smoothing it out with a spatula.
Setting and Serving
- Place the dish in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours or until firm.
- Once set, cut into bars and serve. Enjoy your Homemade Kit Kat Bars!
Notes
Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Let thaw at room temperature before serving.
