For the Bread
  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread Approximately 1 pound.

Method

Preparation

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly blended.
  3. Cut the loaf in half horizontally, then slice each half into smaller pieces for easy serving.
  4. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of each loaf.
Baking
  1. Place the bread on a baking sheet with the cut sides facing up. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until the edges are golden and crunchy.
  2. Once out of the oven, let cool for a minute, then serve warm.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, add grated Parmesan cheese to the garlic butter mix. For a milder garlic flavor, sauté the chopped garlic in the butter before spreading it on the bread. Store any leftover garlic bread wrapped in aluminum foil or in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
