  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice Use fresh lemons for the best flavor
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust to taste
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups ice Add more if a slushier consistency is desired

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the lemons in half and squeezing them to extract one cup of lemon juice.
  2. In a blender, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Blend on high until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add 2 cups of ice to the blender and blend until you achieve a frosty, slushy consistency.
  4. Taste the mixture; if you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar as desired.
  5. Pour the slushy mixture into chilled glasses and garnish with lemon slices.
  6. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

For alternative sweeteners, use honey or agave syrup. Adjust proportions according to taste. If the lemonade is too thin, add more ice and blend again. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week.
