  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Ensure it's Halal-compliant.
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grease an 8x8-inch square baking pan with oil or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the peanut butter and honey. Stir continuously until the mixture is melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, add the Rice Krispies and pour the melted peanut butter mixture over them. Stir quickly until evenly coated.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking pan and press down firmly.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature or in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Cut into squares.

Notes

For best results, allow the bars to cool completely to hold together when cutting. Store in an airtight container for up to one week at room temperature, two weeks in the refrigerator, or three months in the freezer. Reheat briefly in the microwave if needed.
