  • 4 fillets salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar can substitute maple syrup for a richer flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning adjust based on spice preference
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 unit Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). A hot oven is crucial for that perfect glaze!
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, Cajun seasoning, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and lime juice. Stir until well-combined.
  3. Pat dry your salmon fillets with a paper towel to achieve a crispy texture; season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Brush both sides of the fillets with olive oil.
  5. Place the salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet and spoon the Cajun glaze over the top of each fillet.
Cooking
  1. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until flaked easily with a fork. Broil for an extra 1-2 minutes for char.
  2. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze wrapped in plastic wrap and foil for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes for best results.
