Preparation
- Wash the blueberries under cool water. Give them a gentle shake to remove excess water.
- In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Once the water is boiling, carefully add the blueberries to the pot. Stir them gently.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
- After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and strain the mixture into a teapot or large pitcher, discarding the blueberry remnants.
- Taste the tea and mix in 2 tablespoons of honey for sweetness, if desired.
- Pour the infused tea into cups. Garnish with a slice of lemon and fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
