Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional) Can substitute with agave syrup or brown sugar.
  • 1 slice lemon (optional) Squeezing lemon juice can add a refreshing twist.
  • Mint leaves (for garnish, optional) Use for additional flavor and garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the blueberries under cool water. Give them a gentle shake to remove excess water.
  2. In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  3. Once the water is boiling, carefully add the blueberries to the pot. Stir them gently.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. After simmering, remove the pot from the heat and strain the mixture into a teapot or large pitcher, discarding the blueberry remnants.
  6. Taste the tea and mix in 2 tablespoons of honey for sweetness, if desired.
  7. Pour the infused tea into cups. Garnish with a slice of lemon and fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
