Ingredients

Wrap Ingredients
  • 4-6 pieces Large flour tortillas Depending on number of servings
  • 1 pound Ground beef (or protein of choice) Or any other protein you prefer
  • 1 cup Refried beans
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup Tomatoes, diced
  • ½ cup Sour cream
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning Or homemade seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For cooking or cooking spray

Method

Cooking the Protein
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and ground beef or your chosen protein. Cook until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning with a splash of water (if needed) and let it simmer for a couple of minutes until thickened.
Assembling the Crunchwrap
  1. Lay a large flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spread a couple of tablespoons of refried beans in the center.
  2. Add a generous amount of the seasoned meat, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Top with lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream.
  3. Carefully fold the tortilla over the fillings, making pleats as you go to create a circular shape. Make sure everything is nicely enclosed.
Cooking the Crunchwrap
  1. In a clean skillet or on a Blackstone griddle over medium heat, spray with cooking spray. Place the wrapped crunchwrap seam-side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown and crispy, then flip and repeat.
Serving
  1. Once both sides are crispy, remove from the skillet and cut in half. Serve hot!

Notes

Use different proteins for variety, timing is key to ensure fillings are warm before sealing the wrap, and avoid overloading with toppings. Make it spicy with jalapeños or hot sauce.
