- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Gently fold in the crumbled birthday cake and rainbow sprinkles, being careful not to break up the cake too much.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Churning and Freezing
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency, typically taking about 20-25 minutes.
- Transfer the soft ice cream into an airtight container, tap it on the counter to eliminate air bubbles, and freeze for a minimum of 4 hours or until firm enough to scoop.
- Once frozen, scoop into bowls and add your favorite toppings for extra fun.
Notes
