  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Make sure bananas are ripe for better sweetness.
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, unsweetened) Can substitute with plant-based yogurt for dairy-free.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (or almond butter) For a nut-free option, substitute with sun butter.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Choose based on preference for sweetener.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) For extra chocolate flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a standard loaf pan lightly with cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir just until fully incorporated.
  6. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  2. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cooling
  1. Once baked, remove from oven and let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  2. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
