Ingredients
  

For the steak
  • 1 pound ribeye or sirloin steak Choose your preferred cut.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Ensure it's halal.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated Fresh or ground ginger can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
For the bowls
  • 2 cups cooked rice Preparation should be done beforehand.
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (zucchini, bell peppers, carrots)
  • sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the ribeye or sirloin into thin strips for quick cooking.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the steak strips and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare your rice according to package instructions.
Cooking
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté mixed vegetables for 4-5 minutes until slightly tender.
  2. Remove vegetables and set aside. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and stir-fry the marinated steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
Assembly
  1. In serving dishes, place a generous amount of warm rice, followed by sautéed vegetables and steak on top.
  2. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  3. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to substitute steak for chicken or a plant-based protein as needed. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freeze components for up to a month.
