Method
Preparation
- Start by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken pieces and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
- In a large skillet or stovetop grill, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan and cook undisturbed for about 5 minutes until golden-brown. Flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
Finishing Touches
- Remove the chicken from heat, let it rest for a couple of minutes, and then sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
Serving
- Pair your Hibachi Chicken with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
Notes
For maximum flavor, let chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Chicken can be substituted with Halal-friendly beef or shrimp. Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking. Leftovers can be stored for 3-4 days in an airtight container.
