Ingredients

Seafood
  • 2 cups cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, flaked
  • 1 cup white fish, cut into bite-sized pieces
Sauce and Seasoning
  • 1 cup creamed soup (like mushroom or seafood)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or any seafood seasoning)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Topping
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, and white fish.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the creamed soup, milk, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  4. Pour the sauce over the seafood and fold gently, ensuring all the seafood is coated in the sauce.
  5. Spread the seafood mixture evenly in a greased casserole dish.
  6. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle over the seafood mixture. Add cheese for extra richness if desired.
Baking
  1. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until it's hot and the top is golden brown.
Serving
  1. Enjoy your hearty seafood casserole warm, straight from the oven!

Notes

Use fresh seafood when possible for better flavor. A gluten-free alternative can be achieved with crushed crackers instead of breadcrumbs. Don't overbake to prevent rubbery seafood. Consider adding hot sauce for extra heat.
