Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the watermelon in half and then slicing it into quarters. Remove any seeds, if necessary, and carefully cut the fruit into thick wedges resembling French fries.
  2. Place the wedges on paper towels to absorb some moisture to achieve a crispy exterior.
Flavoring
  1. Brush the watermelon fries lightly with olive oil and sprinkle them with sea salt and chili powder if desired.
Cooking Options
  1. Grill: Preheat your grill and place the fries on for 2-3 minutes on each side until grill marks appear.
  2. Bake: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 10-15 minutes, turning halfway through.
  3. Air Fry: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C), and air fry for about 8-10 minutes.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, let them cool for a moment, then drizzle them with honey or maple syrup and a squeeze of fresh lime before serving.

Notes

If you have leftover fries, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Enjoy cool or reheat in an air fryer or oven for a few minutes.
