  • 1/4 cup almond flour Can substitute with oat flour or another nut flour.
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar or sweetener of choice
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • pinch salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tbsp almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a microwave-safe mug, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir them together until well mixed.
  2. Pour in the unsweetened applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until you have a smooth batter, scraping the sides of the mug as needed.
Cooking
  1. Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for about 1 minute, adjusting for stronger microwaves. Keep an eye on it as cooking times may vary.
  2. Allow it to cool for a minute before digging in.
Serving
