Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces and mix with half of the cinnamon in a bowl.
Crumble Topping
- In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond flour, chopped nuts, remaining cinnamon, and salt.
- Drizzle in the melted coconut oil and honey (or maple syrup), and stir until evenly coated.
Assembly and Baking
- Layer the spiced apples evenly in a baking dish and sprinkle the crumble topping generously over the apples.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Serving
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm on its own or with yogurt or honey.
Notes
Best stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can be frozen if wrapped tightly. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes.
