Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the bananas. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, sift together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Gently fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or grease it with coconut oil.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares and serving warm.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for a week. They can be frozen for up to 3 months.
