  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil Helps add moisture.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda For leavening.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Balances sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts Optional, for added texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the bananas. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Gently fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
  6. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or grease it with coconut oil.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares and serving warm.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for a week. They can be frozen for up to 3 months.
